On February 23, 2023, a launching ceremony was held to inaugurate Fangzhou-1, China's first large-scale space intelligent open experimental base, located at the Vanke Longgang Cloud Center in Shenzhen Municipality. The experimental base is jointly built by the Housing and Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, the People's Government of Longgang District, and Huawei Device Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by relevant leaders from several organizations, including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province, and government agencies of Longgang District in Shenzhen Municipality. Representatives from various enterprises and public institutions, such as Huawei Device Co., Ltd., several real estate hotels, and HarmonyOS Connect, also attended the ceremony.

Meijing Group, as an essential ecological partner of HarmonyOS Connect and a collaborative partner for Huawei's whole-house intelligence labs, was invited to participate in the ceremony. The company gathered together with government officials, enterprise experts, industry leaders, and pioneers to witness the unveiling of Fangzou-1 and engage in discussions on the future of the smart home industry.

During the ceremony, the Center of Science and Technology & Industrialization Development of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province, and Huawei signed a strategic cooperation agreement. They conducted a collective signing ceremony for the units collaborating in the co-creation and co-construction of the laboratory. Moreover, the ceremony also featured the opening of the "Idea-Tops—Huawei Whole House Intelligent Design Competition". Mr. Meng Jianmin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Architect of Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co., Ltd. (SZAD), delivered a speech as the chairman of the international jury for the Idea-Tops Awards. The competition registration was officially launched on February 15.

It is reported that Fangzhou-1 Space Intelligent Open Laboratory has cooperated with 11 real estate hotels, 23 HarmonyOS Connect ecological partners, and 6 industry and academic partners. The laboratory is designed to feature three main functional areas, namely, an industrial ecological development area, an industrial achievement exhibition area, and a joint innovation open laboratory. In addition, six immersive experience spaces have been created to showcase the latest developments in technologies related to smart homes, smart apartments, smart hotels, smart offices, smart medical care, and smart classrooms.

Covering an area of 8,600 square meters, the first phase of the laboratory is committed to building China's most important and authoritative national whole-house intelligent space laboratory. It will adopt a multi-dimensional approach involving government, industry, university, research, and exhibition to propel the entire industrial chain, stimulate co-creation, co-construction, sharing, and drive growth that is mutually beneficial. It is expected to accelerate industrial incubation and promote the industry into the Space 3.0 era, becoming a key player in the new growth stage of the digital economy.

In April 2021, 16 departments including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China jointly issued the Guidelines on Accelerating the Development of Digital Households and Improving Living Quality. The guidelines outlined 15 key strategies for accelerating the development of digital households, improving living quality, and enhancing the living environment. It also clearly defined the objectives for constructing digital households, including the incorporation of whole-house intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies.

Over the years, Meijing has always upheld its development mission of "making life more comfortable through technology". With a strong focus on researching and promoting technology applications within the industry, the company has delved deeply into the smart home sector and independently developed its own branded product, "Comfortable Housekeeper". Through the two core capabilities of centralization and collaboration, "Comfortable Housekeeper" has achieved intelligent management of users' home subsystems and equipment, including heating, air conditioning, ventilation, water purification, doors and windows.
